Join us in exploring how our future transport can feel fair, kind and alive
We’re building a community of people interested in helping to shape the future of transport in Leeds. We’d like to collaborate with people who are interested in imagining, developing or trying out environmentally friendly transport that’s better for you, your neighbourhood and the wider city.
You might be asked to participate in workshops to design new services, to complete questionnaires, collect data on your travel or try different ways of getting around. We will let you know when opportunities are coming up and you decide whether it is something for you. Whilst we want all of our activities to be interesting and fun to do, for some activities, you may also receive a thank you voucher/gift for your time.

Here are some examples of our activities with citizens
Creative Assemblies
We explored shared philosophies, values and emotions with Leeds citizens – collaboratively designing a set of guiding principles for a future transport system. We came back together, to reimagine journeys and ways to create positive change.
“What really matters to us is that fairness comes first, we’re better when we stick together, and the planet isn’t a spare part.”

Design Workshops with Schools
A selection of Year 10 students at four local schools took part in our creative workshops. The young people came up with alternative uses for car parking spaces, generated their own design projects to improve their local area, and prototyped transport alternatives.
“It was brilliant to see students start to believe in their own ideas.”

Car When We Need It Experiment
8 households participated in an experiment to see what it would be like to move away from car ownership if they had weekly access to a shared car.
“Such an amazing journey, being part of INFUZE has jogged so many wonderful memories of how a community can really effect change.”

Community Engagement
Several members of the INFUZE team attended the Horsforth Green Festival in September. We shared some of the things we’ve heard from local residents who took part in our Call to Action and collected change-making ideas from those who stopped by to chat.
We’re hoping to participate in many more community events like this.
